Chantix or Varenicline Tartrate is the smoking cessation
drug designed and prepared by the world renowned
pharmaceutical formulators called Pfizer. Chantix is the
prescription drug especially made for smoking cessation.
Smoking is said to cause acute bronchial disorders which
include blood cancer. The excess nicotine quantum thickens
the blood which in turn blocks various veins and arteries
resulting in the colossal
Heart failure, as
revealed by several intense research and studies.
The human brain has certain receptors for nicotine and
nicotine links to such receptors when the smoke is inhaled
through a cigarette. This in turn releases message to
various parts of the brain for discharging the chemical
known as dopamine. This chemical is believed to provide the
feeling of pleasure. The research states that Chantics or
Varenicline Tartrate functions by stimulating such receptors
and obstructing nicotine from linking with them. Chantix has
no nicotine contents anyway.
Chantix is the first approved prescription medication used
for treating smoking and alcohol consumption addictions and
is believed to diminish smoking and drinking alcohol
desires. The drug is prepared in 0.5mg and 1 mg strength
tablet forms and is recommended to be taken twice daily for
three days. However, the standard dose size is 1mg tablet
twice a day with variations as permitted by the Food and
Drugs Administration of the United States.
Like every drug Chantics
too may develop some side effects such as: nausea, headache,
vomiting, flatulence, insomnia, abnormal dreams and change
in tastes. Chantix is the effective drug helping many people
get rid of their smoking or alcohol addictions.
